Title: The Eight-Second Pitch: How to Perfect your Pitching Skills
Instructor: Jeannie Eddy
Class Description: Many of you dread facing an editor or agent across the table at National or other conferences you go to. Sometimes it can be as simple as a ride in an elevator with the right person, so you need to be Pitch Perfect. In this class, we will explore what makes an attention-grabbing pitch, how to spit it out (even if you're shy), and do some hands-on interactive pitch writing with those of you brave enough to post yours in the class. It'll be fun, informative, and might just get the attention of the editor or agent of your dreams.
Instructor Bio: Jeannie Eddy has been a freelance writer/editor (book doctor-ish) and screenwriter for 17 years, and has worked as an editor with several small presses. She teaches classes on Networking - Online and Off, Fixing Your Fiction and How to be Pitch Perfect at conferences or any other place you might run into an agent, editor or producer.
