Welcome to KoD
Big things are afoot at the RWA® Kiss of Death Chapter! As the fastest growing RWA® chapter with over 1000 members, our goal is to greatly expand our services to you--the romantic suspense writer.
Who's in Charge
Kiss of Death is operated by almost a hundred volunteers. They volunteer their time and their talents to provide us with everything a writer could ask for to assist in furthering their career.
It's thanks to these volunteers that we are the able to provide so many benefits to all the members.

KOD, chapter #144 of Romance Writers of America®, was formed by writers world-wide to promote and support the reading and writing of suspense and mystery fiction with strong romantic elements (woman's suspense, woman-in-jeopardy, romantic suspense, & Gothic).
Though this popular sub-genre of romance fiction has enjoyed popular and sustained readership for decades, and despite the popularity of writers such as Nora Roberts and Sandra Brown, it continues to be under-promoted in the industry and hard to find on the shelves of bookstores.
Mission Statement
The Kiss of Death Chapter of Romance Writers of America is committed to promoting and supporting mystery/suspense fiction with romantic elements by providing and supporting education, and committed volunteers who champion good writing and marketing of mystery/suspense works. By bringing attention to the field, KOD produces understanding and respect among writers and the publishing community.
